Neptune Systems' Apex Trident

The Apex Trident, by Neptune Systems, is an automated aquarium testing system for saltwater water parameters including alkalinity, calcium, and magnesium. The system offers a high-level look at a reef aquarium's levels, ensuring optimal operation and marine habitat happiness.

The Apex Trident Marine Aquarium Water Analyzer reports its findings and checks to the larger Neptune Systems Apex Control System. This includes alerts to keep you informed and data to improve your dosing. Combined with the DOS (sold separately), this fully automated system is the perfect way to ensure proper supplement dosing, maintenance, and water parameter levels.

Automated Alkalinity, Calcium, and Magnesium Testing

The Apex Trident uses an automated titration method to test aquarium water. This testing is done through colorimetric identification and happens 24 times a day. The check monitors alkalinity, calcium, and magnesium in the water.

Incredible Precision

The Neptune Apex Trident water analyzer is incredibly precise. The precision is within +/- 0.05 dKh for alkalinity and 15ppm for calcium and magnesium.

Easy to Setup, Easy to Use

The Trident aquarium water tester device sets up in 10 minutes. There are no reagents to mix, nothing to cut and customize, or things calibrate. You're good to go right out of the box! Plug in the device (according to the instructions and videos) and you're in business!

The read-outs from the device are equally easy to learn and begin using. Results are delivered to your device through the app interface (or locally, depending on your Apex System setup).

Trident + DOS = Amazing Consistency

Combining the Trident with the DOS system is ideal when using an Apex control system. Data from the Trident ensures automatic, safe adjustments to your dosing amounts. This keeps tank levels stable and frustration-free.

Low Maintenance and Easy Testing

To make things even easier - the Trident is self-contained. Once a month is all the time you'll need to take to check on the basic reagent change. This means more time enjoying your marine habitat and less having to fiddle with it!

The Trident testing system uses a minimal sample meaning you won't disrupt the salinity of your aquarium. You also don't have to worry about contaminated testing water as this gets sent to a waste container or drain. In all, this means easier, accurate testing.

Whisper Quiet Operations

The Apex Trident is incredibly quiet. You'll barely notice that it's running unless you're truly tunning into it and waiting for its faint testing beeps and bloops.

Zero Effort Aquarium Water Testing

Say goodbye to syringes, vials, colors, endpoints, and expiration dates. The Apex Trident streamlines water testing through technology! You'll put in zero effort getting up-to-date Alkalinity, Calcium, and Magnesium values. The best part? You can access this data anywhere!

How the Apex Trident Water Testing Unit Works

The Trident has a built-in automatic titration colorimeter. In simple terms, this is basically everything you would do when testing water levels -- but through an automated, streamlined process. The water is pulled, tested, and then reported on. Data is then accessible to the application!

A small sample of water, along with reagents, is drawn from the aquarium. This is just enough to do the test so you don't have to worry about contamination. Once tested, this sample is sent to a waste water collection container. The results are then logged by your Apex control system.

Set up takes about 10 to 15 minutes from the moment you open the box. Rest assured that your tests are thorough and accurate:

  • Alkalinity: +/- 0.05 dKh
  • Calcium: +/- 15ppm
  • Magnesium: +/- 15ppm

This data is fed into the Apex Fusion application. In the app, you'll gain a high-level look and understanding of everything going on in your aquarium. From the daily light cycle and calcium carbonate uptake to water levels and more, you'll have the ultimate insight to create a successful aquarium and reef tank environment.

Through this regular testing and maintenance, you'll achieve perfect aquatic harmony.
